LC: Plan a paper mosaic

Follow the link to a video about Roman remains buried under the city of Canterbury: BBC Primary History

Canterbury has three large Roman mosaic floors buried underneath the city.

Today you are going to sketch a plan for a mosaic floor pattern. A simple, clear design works best. A geometric pattern using shapes and lines can be very effective. You could even make a mosaic of your name. Below are some ideas.

I want you to create a simple line drawing, like those shown on the second slide. Do this in your remote learning book or on a piece of paper. We will transfer these onto squared paper when we return to school next week and use them to create a mosaic using paper tiles.
