RE Curriculum

St Wilfrid's is a mainstream Catholic Primary School where celebrating God's love is at the heart of everything we do. Our Catholic ethos is reflected in our interactions with each other and our daily lives in school and we work hard to ensure our children develop this ethos outside school, in their homes, in their communities and into the future. 

Religious Education, allied with Caritas in Action, is not only the core subject but also underpins every other subject in the curriculum. 

'The Way the Truth and the Life' schemes of work forms the basis of our curriculum for Religious Education and this is supplemented with a variety of other resources. We aim to deliver the objectives within our schemes of work in the most creative and engaging ways possible. 

Prayer and Worship and Reflection is an integral part of religious education, and we provide opportunities for this, even with our youngest children.
